Kirk Leeds
Kirk Leeds is president of Association Insight, a full-service
association management company. In addition, he serves as
the chief executive officer of the Iowa Soybean Association,
one of the leading commodity organizations in the country.
Together, these two roles give Kirk a unique perspective on
the challenges faced by agricultural entities. In fact, Association
Insight was established as a way to allow Kirk to share his
17 years of association experience with other agricultural
and food organizations.
During his tenure as CEO of the Iowa Soybean Association,
Kirk has played a key role in greatly expanding the size and
scope of the organization. Today, with a staff of nearly 50,
the Iowa Soybean Association is carrying out leading-edge
initiatives of regional and national importance, most notably
in research, environmental management, communication and leadership
development.
In a world of constant change and increasing complexity, Kirk
has shown the ability to keep organizations focused on important
outcomes. In addition, when needed, he has helped create new
systems and new approaches that have enabled organizations
to act quickly and decisively.
Kirk is a graduate of Iowa State University where he earned
a degree in political science. He serves on numerous
local, state and national boards. The father of four, he just
completed his 10th year coaching Little League baseball
and softball.
Randy Rollinson
Randy Rollinson is Association Insight’s lead strategy
consultant, and president of LBL Strategies, Ltd., a Chicagobased
consulting and training company that specializes in supporting
established organizations in defining, executing and measuring
their strategy. Over the past 20 plus years Randy has worked
with approximately 2,500 organizations (including United Soybean
Board, American Soybean Association, Illinois Soybean Boards,
Iowa Soybean Boards, National Biodiesel Board, and soybean
boards in Ohio and North Carolina) in helping them focus,
make better decisions and grow. In the agriculture industry
he has also done work for the Illinois Corn Growers and the
National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
Additionally, he has designed, developed and delivered a number
of successful business management programs,
including the Certificate in Strategic Management program,
which won the Exemplar Award from the International
Association for Continuing Education and Training, as an “exemplary,
outstanding results-oriented program.”
He and his business partner, Diane Rollinson, co-founded Rosebud
Software Systems, Ltd., in 1995 as a targeted
vehicle to develop complimentary strategic management software
products and services. During the 1990’s
Rosebud designed and developed a highly integrated client
server tool named Beacon by Rosebud, and in 2003
launched a more intuitive, user friendly Internet tool named
MAPPware 2.2. This tool is currently being used by
the Iowa Soybean Association.
Randy holds an MBA in Management from DePaul University, a
Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University. He
has taken advanced certificate level training from DePaul
University in executive information systems and project management.
Diane Rollinson
Diane Rollinson is Association Insight’s lead measurement
consultant, and a principal of LBL Strategies, Ltd. She has
studied and worked with data for the past 20 years. Diane
designed logical and physical data models and managed the
evolution of systems for the American Hospital Association,
ACNielsen, Discover Financial Services, and University HealthSystem
Consortium.
Diane has more than 20 years experience as a database administrator
in mainframe DB2 and SQL Server databases. She is also experienced
with system design, having designed and managed the implementation
of MAPPware, a web-based strategic management tool. Diane
has designed several performance measurement systems for clients
including Discover Financial Services, the Iowa Soybean Association
and Armstrong Brothers Holding Company. Diane has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology from Purdue University; a Master’s
Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern Illinois
University; a Certificate in Computer Programming from DePaul
University; and an MBA in Management from DePaul University.
Linda Snell
Linda Snell is Association Insight’s senior agriculture
consultant and a proven event/project manager with expertise
in developing relationships and managing projects and events.
She has focused her career in strategic planning, project
management and leadership development, consistently initiating
and implementing multiple programs that increase communication
and coordination between people and state/national organizations.
Linda has an outstanding ability to develop effective teams
and build relationships by listening to internal and external
partners. She has a knack for building cooperation and a team
environment that both motivates and persuades people to take
action. Linda has been involved with not-for-profit organizations
for more than 20 years. Linda worked for the Texas Beef Council,
in Austin, Texas, as director of industry relations and for
the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association in Chicago
as the director of state and affiliate services before starting
her consulting business.
With extensive experience managing the development and implementation
of services and programs, Linda has designed, implemented
and evaluated numerous programs and strategies in the areas
of leadership, career management, professional development,
public relations and retail and foodservice marketing. As
a consultant for the past five years, she has worked with
the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, 45 state
beef councils, LBL Strategies (including Illinois and Iowa
Soybean Associations) The Thacker Group, Lee Hecht Harrison,
and Agri-West International.
A graduate of Texas A&M University with animal science
and agriculture economics degrees, Linda is a native Texan
with a strong background in agriculture and the beef industry
and has served on the board of directors, National Agri Marketing
Association, Chicago Chapter.
